When I created Aaron’s Department, I had one aim: to make your day-to-day life simple. 20 years later, 1000s of organisations across the UK have benefitted from our software streamlining and automating the tricky, boring parts of peoples’ jobs.
I’ve always been a strong believer of if an organisation wants to be successful, they have to listen to their customers. So that’s what we did – make software that people actually want, and does exactly what they need.

Aaron’s Department
In 2002, we set up Aaron’s Department DBS, a registered Umbrella Body, authorised by the UK Government to act as an intermediary between the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and an employer or organisation.
We launched our Online DBS system in 2015, making it even easier for people and companies to apply for Basic, Standard, and Enhanced DBS Checks online.
In 2023, we launched our Automatic Update Service that automatically checks to see if there have been any changes to an individual’s certificate on the DBS Update Service.
